Needham Market FC are delighted to announce the official opening of the club’s new first aid & fitness centre.
On Saturday 18th January the facility was officially opened by long serving club & academy supporter Richard Bugg.
The facility showcases two first aid rooms; one for the club’s players, and the other for spectators who might require first aid treatment on a game day. These rooms were requirements of gaining promotion to step 2.
In addition to the two first aid rooms, the facility has a multi-purpose open space (The Recharge Fitness Suite) which houses rehabilitation and fitness equipment. This will be used by the club’s medical team to help players prevent injury and return from injury in the most effective ways. All players across the club from U13’s right the way up to the men’s and women’s senior teams will have access to the building at designated times of the week.
James Mant (Academy Head Coach) quoted: “This new facility is a massive addition for us as a football club. To have some designated space for first aid, injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation is going to be so important for all our players right the way through the club. It’s going to really enhance the medical team’s capabilities and will ensure that we can offer all our players the support they need to prevent and return from injury.
I would like to thank Luke Garnham from BoxWorx Ltd for his patience and excellent service provided throughout this project. It has been a very long process, but he has been of so much help and support throughout the planning and building of this facility.
In addition to the above, I would also like to thank Recharge Fitness Ltd, Richard Bugg, Andy Mendrys, Ben Mendrys and David Clarke for their support in fitting out the facility with excellent equipment for our medical team to work with.
The support and help we have received by so many good-natured people means that we are able to provide our club with a facility which will serve all our players for many years to come. “
