END OF SEASON AWARDS NIGHT RESULTS

Needham Market FC's annual end of season presentation night, held at the Sir Bobby Robson Suite at Portman Road, ended another fantastic season for the club in style with the following awards given out.


First was the Academy awards, with the John Gleed Memorial Trophy going to Lennie Bagley for his dedication throughout the year.


Defender Ben Smith picked up the Joe Sharpe Memorial Trophy, having been a regular feature I in the Under-18s and Under-23s.


The Under-18s Player Of the Year was awarded to goalkeeper Roan Tucker for his consistent performances throughout the season, while the Under-18s Top goalscorer went to Ed Barker having scored 16 goals in 14 games.


Midfielder Eddie Barker collected all three Under-23s awards for his efforts, picking up the Under-23s Player Of The Year, Players' Player Of The Year and Top Goalscorer - scoring 12 goals.


Next, were the women's teams awards with Sophia Gillingham collecting, both, the Women's Development Team's Player Of The Year and Players' Player Of The Year.


Charlotte Sayer was awarded the Women's Development Team Top Goalscorer, having scored 14 goals on 16 appearances.


Defender Nicole Pannifer was awarded the Women's First Team Player Of The Year for her consistent performances, with Sheryce Slater picking up the Players' Player Of The Year after a solid first season at the club, while the Top Goalscorer award went to striker Molly Hall, having scored 12 goals.


Onto the Men's First Team, striker Seth Chambers was awarded the Young Player Of The Year award for a superb season in attack, as well as the Top Scorer award for scoring 20 goals this season. Captain, and also former Academy graduate, Keiran Morphew picked up both the Player Of The Year award and Players' Player Of the Year having marshalled the defence to over 20 clean sheets in the title winning season.


The First Team goal of the season award went to Kyle Hammond, for the midfielder's rocket of a strike away at Hashtag United in the Emirates FA Cup, while summer signing Tommy Smith won the Nunn Trophy and 1st Team Supporters' Player Of the Year for his reliable, and virtually ever present, performances at left-back.


The final 3 awards were handed out to the club's volunteers, recognising their efforts throughout the season with Press Officer Drew Kendall collecting the President's Trophy for his efforts on the media team, Kate Smith winning Clubman of the Year for her hard work behind the scenes and Ken Thorpe winning the Suffolk Groundsman Of The Year award for his fantastic work preparing the pitch before each game.
