MUNNO LEAVES THE MARKETMEN

Nathan Munson departs Needham Marke FC after 9 years.

Sadly, Nathan Munson has decided to leave Needham Market FC and not return for the 2022-23 season. A combination of work commitments and the continued and growing travel commitments to the League schedule have played a big part in his decision.

Nathan joined Needham in 2013 and was part of the Ryman North winning Management Team in 2015-16 and part of the Management Team when Needham won the Suffolk Premier Cup in 2016-17/2019-20 and 2021-22. Joining originally as the Goalkeeper Coach under Mark Morsley he then went on to become Assistant Manager under Richard Wilkins and Kevin Horlock whilst still holding the Goalkeeper Coach position.

Munno, as he is affectionately known will be a big miss to the team and management although it must be noted that perhaps not so to Tom’s travel expenses. Another highlight was Munno donning his gloves again at the age of 43 with Danny Gay injured in the first half away at Tooting & Micham in the 2017-18 season. Munno appeared after half time keeping a clean sheet in the half as the team earned a 1-1 draw. The physio department should be happy as they will now free up at least an hour a week trying to patch him up for the training pitch.

The club would like to wish Munno all the best and thank him for his hard work, commitment, and effort whilst with The Marketmen.
